About Us

CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of the Pikes Peak Region is a volunteer-based nonprofit organization serving Teller and El Paso counties that trains and supervises volunteers to represent the best interests of our most vulnerable citizens – victims of child abuse, neglect, and severe domestic conflict. CASA volunteers are appointed by judges to be a voice for these children in court and in the community. The desired result is that children are placed into safe, loving homes where they can thrive.

The CASA Case Supervisor in Teller County is Terry Dickman, a long time Teller County resident. Terry will gladly offer visitors a tour of the historic Aspen Mine Center in Cripple Creek, which houses the CASA office as well as many other county agencies.

We are actively recruiting volunteers to speak up for abused and neglected children in Teller County. To learn more about the role of a CASA volunteer, click here.
